About David Ly

David Ly studied A Level Graphic Communication, Textile Design and Psychology at Christ the King Sixth Form College.

If graphics is a form of communication, then textile enforces the speech.

David is a graphic/textile designer, revolving his work around empathy and building narratives in relation to the human psyche. He sculptures outcomes which become a product, an embodiment of human emotions, a representation of characters from the past.

Before university and graduating at UAL: Central Saint Martins, CTK had reinforced the basis of my design. Helping designers nurture and grow, which supported my learning for a concrete plan to everyday problems. We were to identify the topics that were important to us in relation to the conflicting issues present. Even till this day, the values still persists. My designing role is to create meaning and depth, particularly associating emotion and feelings within the outcome.
