Our vision

Established in 1992, Christ the King is a Catholic group of sixth forms in the South London area, dedicated to the education and development of the whole person.

We aim for you to graduate not just with the academic achievements you need, but also fully prepared to contribute to society as a well-rounded, self-aware, motivated, and knowledgeable young person.

To achieve this, we will:

  • Encourage you to be ambitious and high achieving.
  • Challenge you to be resilient, confident, creative and courageous.
  • Educate you to be articulate, curious, reflective and capable.
  • Support you to develop the virtues of loyalty, respect, care and commitment.
  • Inspire you to live principled, moral and dignified lives.

In doing this, we expect that you will progress from Christ the King Sixth Forms as valuable contributors to society, confident in your ability to thrive and ready to realise your full potential.

In March 2017, our work was recognised by Ofsted who reported on the high quality of teaching and learning and the excellent progression to university our students experience.

The CTK Graces

In the context of our mission as a Catholic sixth form college, Grace is a divinely given talent, a blessing or prayer. Grace is a virtue and way of being, characterised by courteous goodwill.

Our Character Education Programme – The CTK Graces – is the articulation of our mission and the distinctive vision we have for every student who studies at Christ the King Sixth Forms.

The CTK Graces signify the character traits that we ensure our students develop – so that they model the expectations, habits and behaviours inherent in a scholarly approach to learning. These are:

  • Encourage you to be ambitious and high achieving.
  • Challenge you to be resilient, confident, creative and courageous.
  • Educate you to be articulate, curious, reflective and capable.
  • Support you to develop the virtues of loyalty, respect, care and commitment.
  • Inspire you to live principled, moral and dignified lives.

In doing this we enrich our communities and challenge our students to live a good life in all its fullness.

Ut Vitam Habeant

That they may have life in all its fullness
