UAL Art Students Explore London Met’s Summer Degree Shows

Our Level 3 students studying the UAL Applied General qualification in Art & Design and BTEC and the BTEC National Extended Diploma in Creative Digital Media Production courses at CTK Emmanuel recently visited the Degree shows at London Metropolitan University’s School of Art, Architecture and Design Summer Show 2025

John Murray, Head of Art, Design and Media at CTK Emmanuel commented saying:

‘We were very fortunate to have one of the university lecturers facilitating our visit.  Our guide was none other than Associate Professor Patrick Brill OBE RA, better known by his pseudonym the artists Bob and Roberta Smith.’

The visit offered a glimpse into future possibilities, with students engaging in conversations with exhibiting artists and reflecting on their own aspirations. Many left feeling inspired and motivated to pursue creative degrees, with London Met now firmly on their radar.

Our students said of the day:
‘The work on display at London Met was amazing, and a university professor showed us round the degree show, which was a real treat.’
‘I got a real feel for what university life could be like.’
‘We met some of the students who were exhibiting and had a chance to talk to them about their work and ideas.’
‘I liked the architectural models and displays and think I will add London Metropolitan University’s School of Art, Architecture and Design as a choice on my UCAS application for next year.’
