Important announcement for Christ the King Sixth Forms

Return After Easter

We hope all students have had a restful Easter and enjoyed the warmer weather. Our sites have re-opened to students since the 8th March 2021 and we continue to ensure we have a detailed COVID risk assessment in place.

We are delighted that our CTK Community has come back together and it has always been our preference to have students taught and supported by their teachers face to face. We have been given the flexibility to have a staggered return and already the majority of teaching is back on site.

During the summer term we are hopeful that enrichment and wider student activities will start back up and students, parents and Carers will be regularly updated.

Lateral Flow Testing

Students and staff should continue to undertake two lateral flow tests each week and report these on the NHS website. Please see your Assistant Principal of Wellbeing if you require more testing kits. Lateral Flow Testing is a very simple process that takes just a few minutes and results are provided within 30 minutes. Whilst these tests are not mandatory, we hope that all students will consent to the test in the interest of keeping everybody in the Christ The King community safe and well.

Wearing Face Masks

The Government published guidance asking students to wear masks throughout the day, including in lessons. Masks can be removed briefly whilst you are eating and drinking only.

Free School Meals

A lunch and breakfast will be provided for all FSM students that can be picked up from the canteen at any time during the day. When you are on site but not in a lesson you must go to the LRC or outside. There will be limited catering facilities unless you are in receipt of free school meals so please bring in your own food and drink.
